• UCT vs Maties Fence Off!

  UCT and Stellenbosch fencers met on Sunday for a good old swordfight. It was the first time the competition was held and what a great success. No individual events, only team which welded the fencers together nicely as teams. The Event was set up to let the beginner fencers from both institutions fence in a competition format and to fence someone other than their sparring partners. It worked really well with both sides doing well but Maties came out with the Cup(the Musketeer Cup).

• Braai

  Near the end of the 1st term the fencing club had a braai…not just any braai but the most awesome braai ever! It was so much fun that the club are planning another social event and soon. Keep an eye on this spot for more awesome social events!

• Come and join UCT Fencing for 2012

  Next week UCT FENCING will have a stall on Jameson Plaza for anyone at UCT who wants to join the fencing club. We will be selling fresh pancakes and will be having a showcase where newcomers will be able to try out fencing for the first time!

  The cost to join the club is only R400 for the entire year! Practices are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4-5:30 and 5:30-7 each day.
